History
Blaine has been serving the royal palace of Empiria since the reign of Claude I, as the king's advisor, teacher, Socerror, navigator, doctor, and chief knight. At a stunning age of 67 now, Blaine is a master of a variety of weaponry, and has been a part of more than 20 major regional conflicts in Athenaeus.

Because of his gifted intelligence and excellence in the art of war, Blaine has accompanied his king in many battles and conquests, where Blaine's effectiveness was the key to the Empiria's victories.

As time went by, Blaine developed a voractious appetite for power and he dreams of overpowering the king for the throne. Although Blaine was loyal to his empire, he was cunning and always looking for an opportuniy to overthrow the ruler Empiria and claim its throne for himself. However, Claude I, II and III were too smart and powerful, and Blaine knows that it would be unwise to go against them.

Now that Claude the IV has taken the throne, Blaine feels that his chance has come, however, due to Claude the III treating Blaine exceptionally good as if he was his own brother, Blaine had been having second thoughts on usurping the throne. A war with himself was constantly being waged between his conscience and his greed. Will Blaine finally one day give in to his greed? Only time will tell.

Special Abilities

1. Steel Fist Style Mastery

• The Steel Fist Style is a traditional, yet highly advanced form of matial arts which ultimately emphasizes on the use of fists.
• The key technique of this style is that it focuses on the opponents' weak spots, allowing a single punch to be potentially fatal. Every blow, as recounted by fellow Steel Fist fighters, is almost like being hammered by a 5-ton iron mallet.
• Blaine is a distinguished teacher of the Steel Fist Style and has been perfecting this technique for decades.

2. Art of the Nine-Limbs Mastery

• An extremely difficult martial art to master, Blaine has conquered what seemed impossible. The Art of Nine-Limbs is a legendary form of martial art known only to very, very few people in Athenaeus.
• Combining agility, flexibility, knowledge, mental prowess and an extremely high degree of awareness, the Art of Nine-Limbs uses hands, legs, elbows, knees and the head in combat.
• Parrying, evading or countering its attacks are known to be impossible to those who have no knowledge of this lethal art. In fact, the best option for a typical opponent is to endure, as response would only lead to even bitter consequences.
• The techniques of this art requires an immense deal of energy and focus and it is completely useless if the user is affected or binded by any magical spell.

3. Magic Shield

• Using the power of the Omni Guardian amulet, Blaine is able to conjure up a glowing suit of armour that shields him from any form of magic spells and projectiles.
• The suit of armour will protect him for as long as 5-10 minutes, depending on how long the amulet had been inactive since its previous use. As long as the activated amulet stays on him, the shield remains up. The amulet requires double the usage time to charge (e.g. to use the amulet for 10 minutes, it needs to recharge in its inactive state for 20 minutes).
• Blaine cannot conjure up the magic shield for others unless he gives them the amulet to wear.
• One annoying side effect of this ability is that it slows down the user, hindering him from effectively using other speed-related abilities (e.g. Art of Nine Limbs).
